Josh Bourke Statement
NAB League staffing changes for the 2021 season will require full-time commitment from senior coaches. Josh Bourke will step aside from the role in order to continue his teaching career. He pens a heartfelt piece for the Dragons community:
To The Dragons Community,
Overwhelmed, there is no other word for the kindness and care shown by the wider Dragons community.
However, it is important that the Dragons community remember I am grateful and extremely humbled for the time I have had to coach the club.
Furthermore, it is only with the time effort and energy of the amazing people who make the Dragons what they are.
From Wheels and the Admin Staff, Coaches and Assistant Coaches, Medical and Conditioning Staff and crucially the Volunteers, it is key to remember it is me who is the lucky one.
I sincerely thank them all for their work and contribution to the Dragons Program!
Finally, it is important to remember that as appreciative as I have been of the kind words and support, there are people in our community who need love and care, flick them a text or call and check in with them. Share the love around! Reach out and look after someone!
'Life's most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?' - Dr. Martin Lurther King Jr.
Warmest Regards,
Josh Bourke
