CONDITIONS were horrendous. They were made for mountain goats, not junior footballers.
But they didn’t stop Jemma Owen, 14, from kicking a bag of 16 goals for the Highett under-18 girls team in the Yarra Junior Football League yesterday.

Isabel huntington makes aflw debut
2017 number 1 AFLW draft pick Isabel Huntington made her AFLW debut on Sunday in the Bulldogs 26-point win over the Fremantle Dockers at Whitten Oval. Starting up forward , Huntington finished the game with six disposals and four marks. Her agility in traffic was noticeable, as was her courage with a number of them coming with pressure bearing down on her.

VFLW: Ex-dragons sign with southern saints
After narrowly missing out on being drafted last month, Sandringham Dragons pair, Isabel Quintal and Georgia Ricardo, put pen to paper on Tuesday, becoming the fourth and fifth players to commit to the Saints VFLW team for 2018.
